Happy July!
In April, I shared 6 things I planned to work on throughout the spring. Somehow, I got it all done. (That might be the first time ever I followed through 100% on a creative goals list.)
For the next three months, I have a new list of six things. We can see if the streak continues.

My spring dyeing adventure went much better than I dreamed and I am so excited to do stuff with the fabric. I am going to make an actual quilt this time (not a wall quilt) and I am mentally prepared for the fabric to fade and wear faster than my other quilts. (Or not, you never know.) Right now I am thinking about a version of a nine patch quilt but that is subject to change.

I am deep in pottery season and there is no end to my ruffle bowl obsession but for a ceramic challenge this quarter, I am going to try and make a tray. We have a black one in our bathroom that I love and I am curious if I can make something similar. I recently picked up this book at the library and it has a lot of hand-building tutorials including the one for the tray show above. I don’t do a lot of hand-building because I am not good at it, but that’s why I am going to try.

This is by far my stretch goal of the season. “Install the laundry room sink” has been on my to-do list since 2021 when I bought a (way too expensive) cast iron utility sink. When we had subs here to do the plumbing, they told me it was a no-go without opening the wall and we had just installed the beadboard and I was too overwhelmed to push it. Now I am less overwhelmed and hoping my dad and I can come up with a plan to make it work and finally “finish” the laundry room.
