Welcome to the first Subscriber Q&A. I am hoping to answer your questions monthly (or quarterly depending on how things go). I love hearing from you because it helps me learn what you’re most interested in and sometimes your questions give me an idea for an exciting tangent that could become a whole series. Paid subscribers can follow the link at the bottom of the post to submit questions for next month.

Excellent question! In November of 2023, I shocked my book club when I told them I didn’t use a planner anymore. “WHAT? How do you keep up with everything?” My friend Alice asked. “I don’t!” I responded. “It’s a mess!” I was just treading water every day, trying so hard to get to the end of the year when I could shut everything down and go quiet. I imagine “burnout” looks different for everyone. For me it meant that I was rejecting all my past tools and methods for dealing with stress. I existed in an apathetic state and couldn’t plan, set goals or do much besides trudge to the finish line. It was not the best of times.
