Welcome to the March edition of the Subscriber Q&A! Two quicker questions this month about my plate wall and zinnia growing tips and then a slightly longer one about my favorite topic, getting off Instagram. Paid subscribers can submit questions for next month through the link at the bottom of this post.

Yes! Let’s do it!

My plate wall is actually three narrow wall surfaces that surround the window in our eat-in kitchen. It has 19 plates (eventually there will be 20 when I find the right one to replace that small framed art on the bottom left above the matchbox holder). All of the plates except one were purchased second hand from estate sales, thrift markets, Poshmark, consignment shops or Facebook Marketplace.

It is shockingly hard to find good secondhand plates. It took me three years of consistent looking to find 19 and I have been keeping an eye out for the 20th and final for six months. As you can see, I have color scheme (grey, brown, blue, yellow, green) but not a theme (I mean, there are a lot of florals, but that’s a given).
