Happy Friday! Welcome back to Casual Friday — a jumble of things that are not long enough for a full newsletter but also too complicated for a single photo in the Postcards series. I’ve got a few fun things to share today.

First up: a few more photos of the flowers I painted in the girls’ bathroom. It took me three days and I used a little craft paint brush and regular wall paint.

My three tips —

Decide if you can embrace the imperfection. There is a precise way to do this and then there is the other way. I went the other way. My goal was to get the flowers up there looking decently spaced. Twice, my spacing got off and I had to repaint a section with two coats of white paint and return to it hours later. That’s super annoying! But to my brain, it was less annoying than measuring things out the first time.

Wash your brush out a lot. The paint brush gets less precise as it fills with paint. If you wash it out (or have a few brushes on hand) it’s easier.
