Happy Friday! Welcome back to Casual Friday — a jumble of things that are not long enough for a full newsletter but also too complicated for a single photo in the Postcards series. I’ve got four things to share today.

After 13 months, I am delighted to be done with Invisalign! The shortest backstory: In 2001, when I was in high school, I got two of my front teeth knocked out during a cheer stunt gone wrong. They were shoved back into place and I was given two root canals to keep them in place. Five years later, the root canals failed and I got implants for those same two teeth. It looked fine! I was happy with the dental work. But in the two decades since, my natural teeth around the implants shifted. Over the past seven years, I started to feel self-conscious about my smile.

In spring 2025, while at an orthodontics consult for my kids, I decided to fix my own teeth. And now it’s done!
