Today I am sharing a tale as old as time — A Day in the Life. The last time I did this was September 2013 and it’s safe to say, things have changed a lot for me, my work and my family.

I decided to not write about a specific date but instead share what a normal(ish) weekday flow looks like right now.

For fun, I took film photos over three days to go with the text. These were shot on my Canon Rebel with a 50mm lens and Portra 400 film. You’ll see some of the images are wildly grainy and the focus is a mess. I haven’t shot film indoors in the evenings since 1999 and wow do I have a lot to learn. I am sharing the imperfect images and am excited to play more with indoor film photography in 2026.
